Frequently Asked Questions
Where do you buy your fabric?
This is such a struggle! I prefer to feel all the fabric before I buy/sew with it. There are not many options for purchasing apparel fabric in Jacksonville. I do frequent Joann's regularly but the choices, again, are limited. I've bought from fabric.com, Etsy and Spun Honey Fabrics and had very good luck! I've even considered opening an apparel fabric store, but I'm not sure if there is enough of a market around me....maybe someday.
Do you make your own patterns?
Some of them! I came up with two of the rompers and am playing with some other possible patterns. All of the other items I make are made from patterns created by Jilly Atlanta. She is so talented and helpful. I'm working on a couple new styles from other pattern shops so if I end up adding them I'll link those shops too.
Why just neutrals?
I have always worn just neutrals. I used to wear prints and colors but I realized I was happiest in plain colors with lots of accessories. So that's my go to. White shirt, flared denim, belt, bracelets.....it's practically my uniform. So naturally I've leaned that way when I dress my kids as well. It's hard to find neutrals (especially black) for babies and kids. That's what led me to make it. I had no idea I would love it as much as I do. I set out to make a few things for Jonah but ended up dreaming about my next creation. So here we are!
Is the custom color order worth the time and money?
I mean, I think so! It allows you to get a truly one of a kind item. I have a million and one ideas in my head for things I'd love to make so I hope and pray for someone to order custom. It's SO FUN!
Can you make bigger sizes?
Currently I'm only offering up to size 8 as a general rule. However, if you're looking for a bigger size I can definitely do that as a custom order! Email me and we'll figure out what size you need and I'll tell you how to place the order.
